Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in Emergency Care Research
Patient and Public Involvement in research means research carried out with or by members of the public, rather than research done to, about or for them. It is also described as Public Involvement, Patient and Public Voice, or Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement.
Patients and other people with relevant experience can contribute to the way health research is designed, conducted and disseminated. Public involvement has become an established expectation in health research.
